Adipex Retard: effects, use and risks

Adipex retard
Adipex retard

First of all, it should be noted that Adipex Retard is a medicine, not a nutritional supplement. This medicine must be administered only under the supervision of a doctor, as it belongs to anorexics. The main ingredient of Adipex is Phentermine in the amount of 75 mg, which acts as an appetite suppressant. Next to it, it contains the so-called auxiliary components - yellow wax, hydrogenated soybean and vegetable oil, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, gelatin, 5% glycerol, soy lecithin, sodium salt of propylparaben and ethylparaben, 70% non-crystallizing sorbitol, oxide lyt. , orange and quinoline yellow, methoxyacetophenone and homovanillin. However, its use is not without risks and side effects.

Doctors generally prescribed it to those who had difficulty sticking to their diet plans or those who needed extra motivation to stay on track.

They are usually used for 4-8 weeks, but the duration of use must not exceed 3 months. In addition, Adipex also helps improve energy levels, making it easier to keep up with physical activity during weight loss efforts.

If only you could lose weight by taking a miracle pill that will rid you of excess body fat. It would probably be one of the most sought after pills on the market. However, there is nothing to be surprised about. If we look at statistical data, approximately 66% of the adult population in Slovakia is overweight. Unfortunately, there is no such pill, and if there is, it has more unwanted side effects than helpful ones.

For this reason, the relatively popular prescription drug Adipex retard was withdrawn from the market. In the following lines, I will briefly introduce you not only to its composition, but also explain to you the main reasons for banning its sale within the Slovak Republic. And most importantly, I will tell you several effective ways to achieve the desired weight loss without taking drugs.

How does Phentermine work?

Although the exact way in which phentermine reduces appetite remains unclear, the drug is believed to work by increasing the level of neurotransmitters in your brain. When the level of these chemicals increases, your feeling of hunger decreases. However, over time, it may happen that you develop a tolerance to the dose, so that it will no longer be effective for you.

In the US, phentermine-based drugs are among the most prescribed, having been used for the short-term treatment of obesity since 1959.

Who was it intended for?

Adipex retard, like other anorexics, was primarily intended for people with a BMI value above 30, for whom the desired results were not achieved in the last 3 months by other non-pharmacological means (diet, exercise). However, it was also prescribed in cases where the BMI was between 27-30, but the given individual also had an associated disease related to the cardiovascular system, or diabetes.

Why was Adipex withdrawn from pharmacies?

The fact that Adipex retard is prohibited in Slovakia is due to its main ingredient, phentermine. Its chemical structure is similar to amphetamine, therefore its use brings with it an increased risk of addiction. This was also one of the reasons why it is no longer available, not even by prescription. The other is the increasing risk of heart failure, tachycardia and blood pressure.

For many people, it worsened their health and caused them to lose weight in a really short time, which is not good for the human body. In addition, it is possible to become addicted to Adipex, and long-term use is also associated with withdrawal symptoms.

In addition, sleep disturbances, dizziness, palpitations, fatigue, irritability, nausea or vomiting have been reported. Increased blood pressure, metabolic acidosis, visual problems, cognitive impairment, and hypokalemia have also occurred in some cases.

However, this product comes with some side effects that need to be considered before using it for weight loss purposes:

    • allergic reaction (itching, redness)
    • difficulty breathing
    • pulmonary hypertension
    • attention disorder

    • dry mouth
    • vomiting
    • sexual dysfunction
    • depression
    • fatigue

Including the mentioned side effects, a yo-yo effect often occurs after continued use, i.e. you will gain back as much weight as you lost, even more in some cases.

Choosing a weight loss supplement can be a difficult decision. This can be especially daunting for those in the market for a product that is both effective and safe. Two popular options are Adipex Retard and ADI-PEX with natural ingredients, but how do they compare? Let's take a closer look.

It is an alternative weight management supplement made using natural ingredients. These natural ingredients work together to help increase metabolism and suppress appetite without unpleasant side effects such as those associated with Adipex Retard. In addition, the natural ingredients used in this product are known for their antioxidant properties, which can help improve overall health by reducing inflammation in the body, as well as detoxifying cells from toxins that can slow metabolism or cause bloating or water retention problems.

When it comes to choosing between these two products for weight management purposes, there are several factors to consider, including efficacy, safety, and potential side effects. While both products can help you lose weight effectively if used correctly, one may be better for you than the other depending on what results you are looking for and your individual health needs. If you are looking for an all-natural alternative without any harsh side effects, then ADI-PEX with natural ingredients may be the number 1 alternative.

        Composition of ADI-PEX

Vitamin C - affects the normal course of biochemical reactions in the body. For example, liver detoxification processes, collagen production, iron absorption or fat metabolism. It is also responsible for the growth and renewal of tissues, i.e. the healing of wounds or scars.

Anhydrous caffeine - this is a processed, dehydrated form of caffeine. Because it is extremely effective, it is becoming an increasingly popular supplement among athletes and those with specific weight loss goals. It is found, for example, in caffeine chewing gum and energy bars.

Black pepper - supports healthy blood circulation, helps with food digestion and reduces the desire to smoke.

Weight loss drugs, like Adipex retard, are attractive to many, but their side effects should not be forgotten. Therefore, if you are thinking about something similar, visit your doctor first and discuss with him all the options you have. Definitely do not try to find Adipex retard and other similar drugs on the Internet. You can very easily lose not only money, but also your health. You should definitely not gamble with him.

If you are only worried about a few extra kilos, a small adjustment of your diet and the inclusion of physical activities will suffice. However, high overweight and obesity mean not only limitations in everyday life, but also health problems.
